Ten of us fished Saturday and Sunday for bass. Other than a few additional small fish only 10 keepers were caught Saturday and 4 Sunday. The northerns manage to tear up a few baits and one walleye bit by mistake but that's about it. Not a bad spot for a campout the bass fish'n could be better right now.

Sounds like a tough bite. What area of the lake did you target the most?
How far down is the lake now? Last weekend it was maybe 8-10 inches from going over the morning glory.

I didn't look at the morning glory but the lake seemed to drop about a foot in the 2days we were there. The trees in the Snake weren't out of the water yet but at the rate it was dropping it wouldn't surprise me if some showed up by this weekend. As for where I fished??? I tried everything I ever caught a fish on in the last 25yrs. I was up to the crappie trees in the Snake, to the mouth of the farm pond in the PowderHorn and all the way to the back of the Boardman. Of the 3keepers we put in my boat, 2 came off the main lake and one 1/2 way up the PowderHorn. The other guys caught a fish or two out of the trees in the Boardman and a couple more came out of the grass up the Snake. Didn't seem to matter where you were, just had to make a thousand casts to get bit and hope if you made a million one of those bites would be a keeper. There were still a lot of arrowheads in 5foot of water or less. Just too much area to cover for the number of fish I think. In a week or 2 most of those may be dry and might make things a lot easier. Who knows?
