During this year's Get Together August 2nd and 3rd at Hunter's Point on Mille Lacs we will be presenting seminars by the IDO Staff. Brad Juaire and Rob Stenger will present "Open Water Trolling Tactics" and Bob Carlson and Myself with present "Fall Walleye Tactics on weeds and rocks."
Speaking of the GTG, we need a head count for food on Saturday. How many plan on eating, and how many plan on going on the launch? I plan on having the cost for each today, but pricing kind of goes hand in hand with however many are coming. There is still lodging available for those staying over night, or that want to.
We have a number of Staff members showing up, so if your interests are large Mille Lacs Smallmouth, or Walleye and Musky...the right folks will be there!
We plan to arrive Friday evening with many door prizes in tow. Saturday we will fish during the day, and have dinner at Hunter's. The seminar will either be before or after dinner. Maybe even during so we can partake in the launch trip as well!
Sunday we pack up and leave...maybe after a fish fry for lunch at Hunter's.
So come one, come all! This can be a family event as well as Hunter's has a great beach!
So please use this post for head count info. If you have questions, please PM me.
Thanks! We look forward to seeing a bunch of you there!!!!!

Here is the information we have been waiting for....
The launch is $20 per head. BYOB.
The dinner will be chicken and baby back ribs. And if you have EVER had Hunter's chicken and ribs...you know what you are in for!!!! Price per head on that is $15.
I have one cabin reserved, and have room for others if you want to PM me. We will divide the cost by the number of inhabitants. It will be cheap!
So please, if you plan on attending and your name does not show up above, please do so for meal planning purposes. Thanks!
I would think that evening would be best for most, after dinner and seminars. I am just trying to get a timetable on how things are going to go so I can plan.

Quote: What would be better? Launch in the AM or evening?
The evening time frame would be the best....the daytime launches have not caught that many fish as of late. The evening bite last's from around 9pm to 9:30pm...kind of short, but we might get 4-6 fish to the net!!!! its pretty slow fishing. If you would decide to do a AM trip....I would have to pass on the launch deal as I'm guiding all day, but who cares about that!!!
plan on the evening trip...do a 8-11pm time or something close to that? That way the flurry will be during the middle of the trip!!!! Bait Boy " Lip Ripper " might have a hard time keeping up with baiting Blue's hook!!!
looking forward to the event.....should be a blast!!!
I am thinking we should shoot for 5-ish to get the dinner and seminars in before the launch. I can see doing seminars while people are at picnic tables eating...We can present right out of a boat parked right there...
That might be tough. Trip goes to 4 and then I have to clean all the fish before I can clean up and come for dinner. I'll try to make it, but don't count me into the dinner numbers. Maybe I'll just run up in the boat and drive circles around the launch so you guys have a good chop for the bobbers!!
Hey, could you please add Bob Hopkins (covebayguy) and Bobbi Hopkins to join in for the fun. He can't remember his password anymore (gettin old). They got a place up at Hunter's and he's been a member for a while now, which got me to sign up as well. Unfortunetly I will not be able to attend due to obligations with the old lady. Thanks
