Formally known as the "Knotty Pine" on Hwy 169 north of Garrison and before Aitkin, it is now open again under the name of Players. It opened last Wednesday afternoon. It is owned by the same guy who owns Coach's in Deerwood, MN. It has a great menu with most everything under $7 (the only thing over this price is the famous Heggies pizzas). Check them out on your way up north and tell John the manager that you saw this on IDO from Mike Nagorski. We bought a cabin in January and it is about a mile from this place, only to find out it wasn't opening this spring.

Yes, but atleast I am on the north side of Mille Lacs and they are on the south end. I hope I don't see their bullets flying our way.

Wow, never knew they closed the doors? Is this the same place(knotty bar) that had all the BBQ/smoked meats on the menu? We tried that place a few times last summer, thought they had great food. I suppose the menu has changed quite a bit? Or, are the still doing the BBQ menu?

Since they have only been open one week, they don't have the ribs going yet, but they said they are coming, so is pull tabs and other things. Should be a nice addition to the area.
