Prince bait shop

#694138 - 07/22/08 08:07 PM

My brother and I went up to the parents for a little work on the house in Onamia last weekend. Needless to say we didnt get much work done to the house, but we did get out on the lake Sat morning ,only to have the boat motor not work properly. We called princes bait shop, explained the problem as best we could. They said it sounded like our water pump was bad seeing as we were not getting any water shooting out the output. They said they could do it in a week,or we could come and buy the part . Well ,we decided to go for it and try to fix it ourselfs. My brother,Dad and I hoped in the truck and headed down to Princes. When we got there they said we could pull the truck in to the back of the shop and use there tools to fix our motor.Everything was great except for we didnt have a clue what to do.To our suprise one of the guys there walked us through it.They let us use everything we needed to get the job done.all in all we got the motor working properly and were on the water in no time. Theres no doubt we will be buying anything we need for fishing from them for a long time to come. They sure went out of there way to help us out,and we are greatful for it.Not to mention we feel pretty confident with future problems with our motor with the knowledge we gained from Princes... What a buisness... Heres to Princes bait and gun shop.

I had a similiar type experience years ago. I had a bearing go out a few miles from them. I unhooked the trailer and went to Prince to get a hub. They started handing me tools and asked if I had a decent jack and told me I could just drop the stuff off when I was done. They run a great place there for customer service.

Yup some of the best bait around and great service.Soon as you walk in the door there is always someone ready and willing to help ya.I also recently found out they were a Minnkota service center. Not only did they fix my auto pilot on my Terrova they also fixed the damage I did to the collar and got it covered under the warranty Other bait shops could learn a lot from these guys

Prince is top of the line. Great bait and service is right. I like going to a bait shop and asking for a dozen shiners and getting two or more in the bucket. It absolutly drives me nuts when bait stores count out the individual bait in front of you. Needless to say glad you had a good experience there, and keep up the good work Princes'

I had a similar experiance last year while heading up to millacs had a hub go out on my trailer, they came with replacement hub "which wasnt right because my trailer was so old" but they got it to work and i made it up to mille Lacs and back to Prince's to drop my boat and trailer off. $300 for a much needed new axel and I was good as new. They were fantastic, to deal with. I always stop and buy my DTT from them. Great to know that good service still exists.

Great post and thanks for sharing! I too am a fan of Price Bait Shop. One time I stopped there and bought a couple of gallons of outboard motor oil. The guy at the counter knocked off $2 per gallon for no reason and said to use the money next time to buy a crankbait! It wasn't much but thoughtful enough to make me want to stop there again!
