I was in the Madison Gander Mountain yesterday and noticed they have a huge stock of XD-100 Evinrude oil. They have it priced at 59.95 a gallon, which seems awful expensive to me. The place I bought my boat from sells it for 43 a gallon, and will sell you a gallon from the 50 gallon drum for 39 if you bring your own gallon container. They told me that Bombardier dictates what they sell the oil for.
Does Gander's price seem exceptionally high? What are others paying?
I almost brought this up myself, how much petroleum products are in SYNTHETIC oil anyway??? Should cost of barrel of oil dictate cost of synthetic oil? I paid a little over $27/gallon last year for 3 gallons of bulk oil. I guess I should have bought more.
I guess if GM can get away with this, then more power to them.
I sent a suggestion to Wal Mart that they get this oil 2 years ago but they must not have gave it much thought.
Mendotaeye Where are you buying it in bulk? sounds like a deal to me.
