Tonight is Cat league, I will be curious to see if the nice rain storm that came through burnsville will perk up the cats. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. I need one channel and one flat to keep in the running for points. Let us know if you get out on how it goes.
Tried a couple spots last from 7 to 3 a.m. MOST of our action came late (starting around midnight) with the channels. We also had a few runs on live bait, but they either dropped it shortly after pick up or carried it into unknown snags under the surface. We were using suckers, creek chub, and bullies. Hoping to make it out tonight and tomorrow, but we'll see.
We ended up boating 4 fish. 1 channel that was just shy of 10lbs and 3 smaller flats. We must have been close to the same area Flaco651. Our Flats started hitting around 11:30 until the time we pulled up anchor at 1:20 Not a bad night. Just need a little more size to them.
Been finding quality channels lately, but only small flats. That should be changing soon, being some bigguns have been caught in the last few days. Should be a good contest this weekend.
