Jorg- I've been using the Navionics for a couple of years now. I haven't updated to a new South chip because they haven't updated anything in Nebraska that I need.
If we can get water back in all the reservoirs here maybe they will redo some mapping in this state or even better yet maybe Lakemaster will come and do all the major reservoirs in HD 1 ft. contours.
Yeh, that is what I have been running in my 332c. But my chip is a Jan2006 and didn't know if it would be of any need to update. This one doesn't have Calamus on it. Of course Davis is not on it either.
Ben, how much zoom factor do you have on yours?
I also run the same chip in the winter on my H2O and found it fairly reliable.
Also, I have as yet to figure why Nebraska is on the SOUTH chip?????????

I'm with ya Jorg. I really wish NE was on the north side, so then we could get SD, ND and MN on there. Would be nice.
I use the same one you have in the same finder. Works like a charm at Elwood trolling points. I also use it in my H2O during the wintertime, and works well there too. It's fun to get in the canal and watch how their lines don't match where the canal actually goes, but it still works fine.
I forgot about Calamus. I have both a 06 and an 07 chip. I lost my 06 so I bought the 07, and a couple of months later I found the 06. In the last 5 years I've only fished Calamus 1 time so it's easy to forget about. If you fish up there a lot it would be nice to have the map. If I remember right it does a decent job with the humps up by the dam.
As far as your zoom feature goes, you'll need to update your unit. I did updates on mine this spring and I was able to zoom in 2 more steps. Just be sure if you do your update that you do the LMS 2000 update first. Then you can put the latest unit update on. If you need some help with this I can help you out sometime. I have most of the Lowrance updates on my laptop and I can pop the chips in for you and have them done in a few minutes.
The main reason Nebraska ends up on the South chip is because the North chip is overloaded with data already. With all the waters they cover in MN, WI, and MI, including the great lakes, there's just not enough room for more data on that chip. But I'm with you guys, I wish Nebraska was on the North too. That way I'd have all the waters I fish on one chip.
