Will be working in area end of August- 1st part of Sept. I've been out on charters but was considering bringing my boat to do some fishing. I'm not set up for salmon fishing but was wondering if I really need to be. Is there just salmon fishing in this area? Would appreciate any info. I could get about area. Not looking for any certain spots, just some ideas on where to start in this area. Thanks.

Your going to want to be somewhat set up for salmon fishing. The fish in that area could still be deep depending on water temps. Your going to want to have some leadcore,dipseys and maybe a couple pumphandle rigs.
Otherwise there is Winnebago to the west about an hour drive. Very good walleye lake..
I'm still pretty new to the area myself..
