I am going to be on these two lakes in mid-September. muskie, smallmouth and walleye. what techniques do you employ. NOT looking for spot on spot info, just general depths and areas that you target that time of year.
thanks in advance.

Only fished it in the summer but I had luck using yellow hair with a copper blade for the skis. From what I remember that is the WORST landing I have ever seen.Good luck!

SteveO-I too will be there in mid September...thanks to my B.I.L. for this link...LLL & Teal are great Musky lakes. Been fishing them since I was a kid. I will be using Top Raiders mornings and evenings in calm to lightly rippled water, firetiger has been good the last couple of years. I tend to throw larger bucktails and maribous in the orange/brown with copper or brass #5-6 blades, and large spinner baits in firetiger, black red, and my favorite orange brown with willow leaf or change to colorado for shallow areas (LLL is only 21'at its deepest, and Teal 35"). Don't worry about the landing...the ice has pushed the cement apron to the side some, but back in next to the dnr dock to launch and load. We were up in June and had no problems loading/launching...you just have to know the launch, and now you do. I will be up the 13th, staying at Empire #7. Look for the Smokercraft with the 40 Merc tiller. If you are up that time period, I will be happy to mark up a lake map for you, including some of the bars that aren't on most maps. Walleye are just making a come back on the lake, and can be caught early and late day off and along Green Point and on the edge of Duncan bar in the rocks. Teal is a good eater lake for walleyes, and the hotspot maps are fairly accurate for them. I normally fish the early morning alone, so if you want to tag along, let me know. Otherwise, give me the dates you will be there and I'll drop you my email address and fill you in on where to fish. I never mind "giving up my fishing spots", cause you still have to get them to hit!! Best fishes, Tracker <><
