Sounds like one of a couple things has happened...It's either full , the fill tube is kinked or plugged. Or, the most likely, the tank vent is plugged.

Quote: I have a '97 lund alaskan and cannot pump from a gas pump. It even gushes out when using a gas can. Any help welcome.
I had the same issue with a TS C'liner. The fuel fill tube leading down into the fuel tank had a kink. I could add fuel very slowly but any attempt to run it in at a normal "pump" pace and I got wet shoes.
The fix was to pull the floor and find / fix the kink. After that repair I never had any more issues.

I vote for the vent being plugged. I just gave a blast of air through it backwards and everything was good then when I had that problem. good luck. Let us know what you find.

You mean Chappy was on one end huffing and puffing????
On this model the tank is on the side so the hose is a straight shot. The guage may be off a little so I'll be o.k. with full being at 3/4. Thanks for the responses.
My Father in law has a Cliner...1986 model with a 90 on the back.
Same issue. Twenty minutes to fill his tank was normal. Had it in for warranty work a couple times and they couldn't find the problem. Filler is on the right side of the boat.
I took out most of the deck to get at the tank and the venting was fine. There was a slight bend in the filler hose so I shortened the hose by about an inch to get the bend out of it.
To this day it still is a little temperamental when filling but much better than original. I've found while filling the tank in the water, if someone stands on the starboard side while filling the tank it will swallow as much fuel as a pump will give it.
