Was able to make it out to the backwaters North of Stillwater to go after some Northerns and possible a Muskie. Started out throwing a small white bucktail and on the third cast managed a 30in. pike which was quickly followed by another 30in+ fish. After catching a few smaller fish(24,27,28in) was hooked up with the biggest pike of the trip, a nice healthy 34 incher. After watching my dad swing and miss a few times, the highlight of the trip, I was able to land a 35in. Muskie, the second of my life(the other consequently was also caught in the croix). After releasing the fish, we fished the spot where all the pike were caught, and I lost a nice 36-37in northern(would have been the biggest of my life). We finished out the trip with another 30 in. pike and a smaller 25 incher along with a few smallmouths. All in all a great and fun day to be on the water.

We were wading, it was only knee deep in most places. The muskie was caught in about waist deep water.
