Fishing this past month on the fox river has been nothing short of fantastic for both big flatheads and channels. You can't eat these fish due to high levels of PCB's and mercury but they are a ton of fun to catch and are totally underfished. Using cut bait, and live bait near log jams, railroad bridges and the current such as by discharges or dams have been where we have been doing very well. Very few anglers fish for catfish which probably explains why this is a fantastic fun fishery for them. My favorite pic is of my little guy doing his best to hold up a hefty channel cat.
