Water Depth on Mille Lacs this year?

#703568 - 08/28/08 03:27 PM

Just wondering how this years water depth compares to last years. From looking at one of the webcams it seems to be up compared to last year. Just wondering how much.

I'm definitely looking forward to that fall night fishing.

Thanks, Ryan

Ya
I was curious too. My daughter informed me this morning that she wants to go up night fishing again this year.
Boy....Better get some gas money together.

Its up from last year at this time. If we continue to get some rain, we should see the lake level around 8-10 inches above what it was last fall.

Bob,is that enough increase to put some boat landings back into use?

Have not had an issue with any ramp I've used this year. I'm not aware of any that are un-usable (use at your own risk) or closed.

The lake has managed to hold onto it's water this summer!

the lake level has dropped some over the past few weeks. looks to me about 3 or 4 inches from where it was in july. i did drag the skag putting the boat on the trailor the other day, that was at the cove bay public. i use this launch about 3 or 4 times a week and this is the first time this year that i have noticed a depth problem at the cove bay landing. the only one that i know that is unuseable is the wealthwood landing.........tom fellegy

I could barely get my boat off the lift this weekend. I had to get in the water to drop the level down. I got a couple chigger bites in the process. I was hoping the water didn't get warm enough this year for that to happen. I guess I was wrong.
