I have been using gold 6 pound (0.009 mm diameter) Stren Hi-Vis Gold and not at all impressed with it. It just seems prone to breaking at far less than 6 pounds, I like the gold color. I am red-green color blind but I can see the gold a mile away. I would like to find a line that is as visible as the Stren and as strong plus flexible as Trilene XL. Today I was using clear 8 pound (0.010 mm diameter) Berkley Trilene XL today but I can hardly see it. BTW Stren is 0.011 when you step up to 8 pound. I am not wanting any extra lift from my line when pitching jigs. Does anyone know of such a fishing line?

Many of my clients have the same problem as you 56twister. I've tried red, green and clear and most people just can not see it under certain conditions. Recently, I've been using 4lb Suffix Hi-Vis Yellow on all my ultra-light crappie rods. It handles beautifully and shows up under all conditions. The only issue it does have is that it's not the thinnest of diameters. 4lb test suffix hi-vis yellow runs about .008" in diameter. 6lb test runs .010 diameter. I have not bought any 8lb test but it probably is going to run .012" diameter. We do a lot of casting with tiny jigs in the 1/32 and 1/16oz sizes. The 4lb test suffix hi-vis yellow is the best that I've found so far.
I agree with Joel, I really like Suffix. I've noticed that its strong enough that you can get by with one size smaller. If you normally use 6lb, try the 4.
I use sufix elite hi-vis 8 lb for jig pitching and dragging. Works well for 1/16 jigs especially when coupled with a longer rod (6'8"-7'6"). I've been avoiding the Sufix siege because it is about as stretchy as you can imagine.
Sufix is an excellent line...Dean at Evert's can get you some Mustad Ultra Pro in HI-Vis yellow that matches Sufix at a better price. I like Gamma on the baitcaster but its really stiff on the spin reel...Brite Orange
It looks like I am going to give Sufix Elite Monofilament a shot. I have seen it in the stores but did not know anything about it and paid no attention to it. Down here on the Missouri the water runs very fast so I have been looking at keeping the line diameter to a minimum, so if I have to use 4 pound like Joel said I'll give it a try.
Thanks a lot
