Was out trolling last night and it seems as if alot of fish are coming unbuttoned on the boards. I have the drag set so when a fish hits that it should pull a little on the clicker. Any thoughts on this real tempted to switch to mono but liket the strength of braid and the feel. But maybe I'm getting to much feel and not enough forgivness. Any thoughts??
With braid, I set the drag on my reels just tight enough to prevent the boards from pulling line out on there own. They should click easily if a fish hits.

I would look at your fishing rods. What kind of taper do they have. How forgiving is the tip? If they are too stiff and combined with braid I think you will end up having a lot of fish come unbuttoned. Just a thought to consider.
