You might be Jake. Bob, if you don't get enough people to sign up, waiting a couple of weeks might help. Its tough fishing out there right now. Either way good luck to those who compete!

Hey Bob if you are willing to hold the contests there are plenty of guys who do the night bite thing in November all the way through the winter (ice permitting) MikeW, Marty, Jon, John23, DeeZee, Lip Ripper, and a whole bunch of other guys I'm forgetting. Heck James and Dean have even ventured out on 2 during the winter. The odds of wacking multiple pig fish are really good. And you can do them on Tuesdays. Something to think about.

And Jake, I think it will be challenging; but Marty got a 23" on Sunday. So it is possible.
I'm not sure I'd know how to catch one out there right now, but I'd try if I could. Unfortunately, I'm not able to fish tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to the contests from October on, though!! But let's not advertise the night bite thing too much.
Good luck to you guys that are fishing this. These contests have been alot of fun this summer. Looks like I will be out of this one to. Looking forward to the weekend event you mentioned Bob.
Jake, looks like just the four of us this this time around, good luck out there, and please be careful. I have noticed the last few nights out in the garage how it is getting dark by 8:30. We will see you at the ramp when done......If all else fails maybe the Sturgeon will be bitting on the Croix.

See you there. The invite is still there for the sturgeon Bob.
We started the night boating our first fish with ten minutes of starting. Then it turned south, we did however find a nice wing damn to entertain ourselves with the white bass which hit hair jig after hair jig for about forty-five minutes. We did a few more damns with jigs and cranks without a hit so we went back to trolling. At about 7:30 when we were thinking it was getting dark enough, we were able to pick up our 23 incher. So over the night we ended with a 23 & 18 inch walleyes, and a mess of white bass.
Jake and Mike were able to land three walleyes a 22, 19, and a smaller one. They also were able to pick up Saugers to go along with them.
So by nights end half the money went to one boat, the other half to the other. I would say there are still some fish to be caught, while you enjoy the fall temps.
Thanks again for those the particapated in these contests. I know we will have one in Oct, and as per requested we will see what November brings...
Thanks again....Bob

Here are two of the fish that came to the boat durring the tourney. We trolled natural colored #5 shad raps to get all of our fish. We got quite a few saugers as well. Seems like the saugers were shallower then the walleyes.
i would totally be in or an oct/nov tourney. I know i havne't been able to make any this summer so I would really like the chance to throw my hat in the ring this fall.
