Saturday am September 6 2008 After a warm but very windy Labor Day weekend we are into fall type weather with lows in the 40's and highs in the 50-60's. While winds were offshore last weekend they howled so not many boats went out after Saturday and with churned up waters the bite was not great. We need some calmer days if there is to be any decent fall action. The bear hunters will be in full swing this weekend. Sounds like they are baiting pretty well so there should be some successful hunters. Grouse season starts up next weekend and numbers seem good however there is still heavy cover so the better hunting is a few weeks off perhaps!

Sunday am September 14 2008 We had a nice week of weather with fairly calm winds so the walleye bite was beginning to pick up some. Today we are back to square one with strong north winds stirring up the water again. We have received about two inches of rain Th-Su and still drizzling now. Drier, milder days forecast so better conditions for fishing, bear and of course grouse hunters after a very damp opener!
