Marty and I hit it early this morning on pool 2. We got 2 walleyes around 18" fairly quickly casting cranks at a rocky shoreline. And then we hit some other areas and picked up a crappie, sheephead, and Marty got a nice smallie.
Marty had to boogie around 10 to go to his son's football game. I decided to stay a while longer. Started trolling a firetiger bomber 6A and immediately got a small eye. Then proceeded to get about 6 more in the next hour on the same trolling run. 1/2 were small but got about 3 in the 20" range. So, considering that the last 2 times out were skunks or near skunks, not too shabby. 62 degree water temps. All fish were caught on firetiger. Trolling about 6'-10' on a rocky shoreline.
Best outing in quite a while!
