Headed out on the river at 6:00, still kinda dark yet. We started our first drift by 6:15 or so 7-13 foot of water. had NOTHING for the first two hours. We decided to move up in the cut and try some new water. It wasn't long before Josh hooked up with a real nice 17" sauger, he followed that one with another decent sauger. It took me a while but I had to make a change on the bait I was using. Switching to a floating jig head tippped with crawler chunk finally provided me with a 16" eye, and 1 other cigar. We picked up one nice crappie also. Not a bad morinig but had to get back in time to watch the Pack. GOOD DAY All AROUND. Water temp was 66.1 deg.

Good to hear you picked up a few yesterday. Conditions are pretty tough right now. Fish pretty much have a choice of buffet lines. As soon as that water temp drops another 7 or 8 degrees (target 58F) - some big fish are gonna start coming in.
