deep thoughts

While reading my general psychology book i came across a quote from the scottish author Jhon Buchan which i found interesting and somehow related it to musky fishing. Also for some reason I felt the need to share it with everyone.

"The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope."

Sounds very accurate for muskie fishing. There is no doubt that there is a certain pyschology to muskie fishing...casting for hours on end without seeing a fish makes you really want that "occasion of hope".

Then you get the guys who push through the barrier... We had a 52" tiger caught over here two nights ago and while at work last night at the Musky Shop I heard that a 58 1/2" fish that weighed over 60#'s was taken off LOTW... How about that!!!
