Throwing Your Own Trap in the Metro?

#713835 - 10/13/08 09:49 AM

Does anyone know if there are any ranges in the north or east metro where you can throw your own trap? I'd like to work with my niece and nephew (never shot before) and would like to go at our own pace/not have them feel any pressure by having someone else standing right there.

Thanks,

Jim

This is just a thought, but I was at the Forest Lake Sportsman Club on Saturday getting ready for gun deer season. Once I was finished at the rifle range I decided to shoot skeet. I had the whole range to my self. When I asked I was told that this fall has been pretty slow at the range.

So, I'm sure you can get some unpressured shooting in with the kids at this place.

Horse and Hunt is south of you but you throw your own at your pace. You can shoot sporting clays, trap or skeet. They even have a couple 20 ga for rent. I started my kids there and it's nice if your having trouble with a certain shot or station just stay there till you hit it.
