If it's the one I am thinking of, it is about 8 miles South of Pillager on Hwy 1.

I have driven by this body of water hundreds and hundreds of times and never knew that it was Lake Alexander

That is the one. What a rough trip. Insane winds, and only 6 flags in about 48 hours. 0-6 on the flags. Couldn't do anything right. had one sucker take a beating though ... pulled him back 3 times with bite marks, but still lively, when the 4th time his flag went up we pulled and the LEADER was bit off!  Oh well always next time. did manage a few perch though.

I heard there was going to be an ice fishing contest on Alex this winter, did you happen to see any signs about this while you were up that way? I am not sure but I think it was to be in Feb.

Thanks, I'll watch for more info. I did find it on a calendar for the Lincoln Lakes Area Business Association just saying it would be Sat. Jan. 31 but no other details.
