Shiners up Brainerd way

#736683 - 01/09/09 10:01 AM

I'm heading up next weekend for my annual gator extravaganza in the Brainerd area. Has the MN shiner shortage affected the lakes area too, or will I be able to track the necessary shiners down?

Plenty of shiners at Dave's Sportland in Nisswa. I think you should be good to go. Sounds like the shiner supply is starting to happen but we have been ok in this area yet, but you never know. I work at Dave's, stop in and say hi. Good luck on your trip.

I know just past Brainered there is a bait shop near lake Alexander that has shiners a plenty! Getting the name right now.

Thanks for the input guys.

Now I just have to hope that the thermometer rebounds a little before next weekend...mid-week looks a tid bit nipply.
