Ice????

How are the lakes looking? Ice out on any of the smaller lakes? Going up tomorrow to work on the boat and hoping to chase some crappies on Sat.

newt,
Not sure if you will be checking this, but all or most of the small bodies were clear on Monday/Tuesday.
Leech, Gull, Red and the like had not gone out yet, but all of the smaller lakes were good to go.
Unfortunately, they are a solid 2-3 weeks behind the southern part of the state. So, your water temps will still be way low.
Good luck.

Thanks guys. Nothing to report on the crappies. Nothing shallow, nothing deep. One of the lake residents said the ice has only been off for about a week. I forgot to bring the depth finders so I'm not sure what the water temps were. Must be too soon for them craps.
