Has anyone heard if the crappies are biting yet on Lower Cullen? Let me know, I'm thinking about heading up this weekend.
Thanks!

...Or if you have had any luck with crappies on other local lakes near Nisswa....I would appreciate any reports.
Thanks again.

Crappies are really starting to pop here on the area lakes. Most lakes are going good now.

Have you heard of any tips or tricks, FOW, bait etc. Let me know, if you are willing to share.

As Jason metioned in another post, find the warmer water! Dark bottom shorelines with southern exposure will be what you are looking for. Any of the smaller jig/fuzzy/Flu-Flu presentations are work, with waxies or crappie minnows. I actually prefer to use a weighted casting bobber that allows me to stay further away from shore. Cast it right in to the shoreline and slowly retrieve it back out through the shallows. Deadly Good luck cheers

I'm heading up this weekend as well. We always do our walleye opener a week later. I plan to be on Gull Friday through Sunday. Good luck cheers

Gull has treated me well after dark in the past so I may venture over that way while I'm up.

Crappie fishing was not great over the weekend for me, but still caught some. 5-7 fow with a small flu-flu and a crappie minnow caught them. I don't remember the last time I caught so many rock bass. They were thick.
