going to be up the first week of June. I hope the record falls when I set the hook!!!  we had a blast last year and I would expect the same this year. Goog Luck this weekend Jon!!

That first week in June should be prime time. Water still in the low 50's. But the good news is we are picking up accidental fish corking now. Some of the old timers around the resort are complaining that's all they are getting off thier traditional early walleye spots. The term "Totally Overrun" was heard quite a few times the last 2 weekends.
Times are a changing for the big lake.....

You mean the real opener. Who care's about those bottom feeders. I sure hope to get up to pond this summer to try to hook into one of those big beast. I think if the record does fall it will be on the big pond

Chased after them this moring for a few hours. Didn't see a fish. Water temp today is 56. Cool and light rain. I'm up all week so I hope I can put somthing together...

I have not seen a fish yet!!! Water temp today has dropped a degree. Air temps at 51 and water temps holding at about 55. Could have frost here tonight...  Just miserable conditions for the smallies.
Predictions for mid to upper 70's tomorrow. Could change things around in a hurry.

Tried to entice a smallmouth to bite on monday morning in the wind. Nothing doing. A little early, a couple weeks of warmer weather should get them going.

I'm hearing that some guys are catching them a bit deeper with cranks, and of course the walleye guys are snapping a few. Hope they're ready by next week...

Not a lot to report.... I can count on one hand the number of fish I got into the boat. Best one is a 20 incher. Now, I'm fishing solo....or better said fishing with my best bud Bute and he don't handle a camera very well. Water temp today finally hit 60!!!
