Are ya hittin' it this spring yet?

Dan(or), I'm trucking these days and over mid to mid-late May I had 3 days trucking around the Columbia and while I had some time, I had no way of contacting anyone out there to see if anything was going on. I wouldn't have cared if I just rode along for an evening, I just wanted to get on that river! I did see all of about 3 boats out and about and I couldn't help but wonder what they were after and how it was going.

No guarantees I'll be out there again anytime soon but send me a pm with a phone# and I'll put it in my cell phone. If I get out there again, I'd love to see if we could set something up or even just to meet and finally shake hands and say, "Howdy!".

Let us know what's up sir!

Sounds to me like you need some sort of inflatable kayak or raft. I too would love to fish the Columbia. Wish you all the luck in the world finding someone that can take you out.

Any inflatable would be a nightmare on a river like that. There's so much water and from what I understand, you need to know where to go if you intend on having any success. A driver usually doesn't have this kind of time so I would hope to maybe arrange something with an acquaintance, which at this point is dan(or). We've never met face to face but we're aware of who each other is. He would know where to point me if he couldn't help me himself so he's my best resource.

One of these years, before I'm dead, I do hope to get on that river!
