This is from the Messengers CO's report, the story is bigger than originally thought, very sad
CO Mike Lee (Isle) continued checking anglers this past week with a so-so bite being reported for walleye on Mille Lacs Lake. Officer Lee also completed his investigation in regards to the large muskie that was speared in the Thains River. Officer Lee learned that a juvenile male was involved, and through the investigation Officer Lee learned of three more muskie being speared with one being 50-inches long. As a result, three more juvenile males were located, and all information will be sent off to Mille Lacs County Attorney’s Office for charges.
Maybe they will get a bunch of community service hours working for the DNR so they can learn some respect for these fish. Pretty sad they had to kill those old fish.
