I just got back from my yearly June trip to Lake City. The bite was a little differnt this year with the low, super clean water. Saturday and Sunday with the blue bird conditions , the bigger fish were hard to come by. I went to Wabasha Monday and hit the wing dams the super clear water made for a slow morning . I did get a couple pitching jigs to the tips of the dams. I was starting to get a little frusterated so I drove up to talk to Dean at Everts. With several pointers he gave me I headed back out to the lake in the afternoon. I put thirty pounds in the boat in about an hour. Dean you are the man. I had already fished this spot with limited success, but with the tips Dean gave me I fished it again. First fish was a giant ,I had it next to the boat trying to get it into the net by myself was a trick , it finaly got off. Before the tears dried up I had a 28.5 inchers in the boat. If I would have kept them I would of had a limit , between 28.5 and 26.5. For me that is a huge bag! I'm not going to say where or how I caught them because I know the Port of Call tourney is this weekend . I'm not sure if Dean is fishing in it. The next day I pulled 2 more pigs off this spot,27 and 26.5.I just want to say thank you Dean for tips. The little saugers are everywhere , so the future looks brite for pool 4. I can't wait till Nov. for my next pool 4 trip. Here are a couple crumby pic's of 2 of the fish. All of my fish were released , I hope to see them again this fall.

With the tourney coming up, I know I'm going to get in trouble for this...but I've heard him talk about this spot many times.
I'm going to let the cat out of the bag! Don't try to deny it.
Those fish came from the current seam of Everts Dock!
Nice report and thanks for posting the photos!

Congrats on some sumo eyes
Be glad Dean was there to help, if it would have been Brian you would have been pitching stick bait and Bullheads

Reading this reminds me of, "Its not what you said,it's how you said it"!Fish translation, not what you fished, how you fished it!

I hear Dean knows a thing or two 'bout fishin' Pool 4 'eyes. I've been skeptical, but I'm starting to believe he might.
Thanks for sharing the story and thank you even more for the release of those big girls. We'll all have a chance to wrestle 'em in the future.

I stopped down at Deans this spring and asked for some tips and all he said was "did you bring cookies? See all the pictures on the counter with guys holding big fish? They brought cookies". I did not read in your post anything about any cookies.
