Water is getting warm!

#796927 - 06/23/09 10:25 AM

Hey guys, just a reminder here and hopefully I am not being that guy . Water temps are getting up there and I wont be suprised to see 76-78 + when I get down there tonight (p2). Please be quick about getting these big fish back in the water. To be honest I usually dont even bring a net now and try to not even bring the fish out of the water when we get to this point unless for a quick picture. most the time its pretty easy to reach down with the plyers shake those hook out. Just dont drop them If there out for any amount of time its pretty hard on the fish. Just a frendly reminder

I personally am such a careful and considerate sportsman that I don't even catch big Walleyes in the first place.

Or at least that's what I try to tell people

Good reminder Joe. Things change fast in the spring!

We saw surface temps as high as 81 last weekend in the Hayward WI area. Big fish, like this one caught casting cranks in 3 fow at night, need lots of support during the release process to ensure that they live to fight another day (night).

Great reminder. Should be in the General Forum. People need to remember that for every body of water. I'm hoping my new Beckman with the lay flat net will speed things up too.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day .
