torn

Kind of twisted on which route to go. My high school buddy from way back is coming this weekend. I get up alot but he only makes it about twice a year so I really hope to put him on fish. The night bite is set - Favorite corking spot.
My wife and baby will also be up so we will be limited on time for the afternoon. Won't have time for a mud and a south gravel run. Therefore, I have two plans mapped out for the afternoon. One has about 4 of my favorite flats to visit, the other involves working some of the southeast gravel. With about a four hour window I have to pick one or the other.

Any thoughts- both should be good this weekend. Tough choice.

I was up last weekend and spent time on both the SE gravel and several different mud flats and did pretty with both approaches so it should be a win-win situtation for you.
Something that might help you decide is how badly do you want to put fish in the livewell vs. catching a trophy... We picked up most of our slot fish on the gravel while the fish on the mud were mostly in the 22"-28" range.
One last tip that helped put fish in the boat last weekend was snell length... 10' or longer last week made a big difference for us. Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll see what the wind is doing and make the decision when I hit the water. We will throw them back any how so the bigger the better
