What does Lake Pepin have for family-oriented cabins/resorts? Trying to find a vacation spot with great walleye (and other specie) fishing potential as well as lots of non-fishing stuff for the family to do.
Thanks!

Everts is a possibility. There are plenty of vacationing families there in the summer. On-site choices for kid activities, other than fishing or skipping rocks, are limited. Red Wing has a killer water park and two giant riverfront playgrounds, however, that my kids LOVE! RW also packs in a bunch of trendy shops, restaurants, and other things that the gals would likely enjoy.
Cedar Ridge Resort is a place I've heard some good things about. They used to be a site sponsor.
I've seen Willows on the River in Lake City from the water. It doesn't look too family oriented....although I could be wrong.

Cool ideas - thanks!
That water park attraction in Red Wing looks extremely kid/family friendly. My boys LOVE swimming and slides - that looks right up our alley.
The more I hear/learn/read about Pepin, the more I wonder why the heck I've never made it over there for a day (or more) of fishing. A whole week next summer sounds about right!
Any of you guys know of any other kid friendly activities that Red Wing or surrounding areas have to offer?
Thanks again, Jason
Mike

Camp La Coupolis is a small resort near Wabasha, but right on the train tracks. Lake City has several Motels and or condos available for about every budget.

Maybe it is just that I am getting old and grumpy or whatever but when I am at Evert's with the grandkids the fact that Red Wing has waterparks or whatever never comes up. There is something to be said for good old fashion fun. My grandkids chase minnows, play in the sand, watched the barges, fish and whine like heck when it comes time to leave. I think sometimes we don't give kids time to just be kids. It has been a year or so since the grandkids have been there and the mention of going to the river puts a light in their eyes when ever the subject comes up.

No doubt about it Rich
Before we became summer residents at Everts, my family stayed at Sunset Motel in Lake City, next to Burger King.
Having offered that info, I would have to agree with Rich, I have never seen a more family friendly place than Evert's. Dean always seems to go the extra mile for kids and the folks who bring them. Believe me, being right on the river is a ball for boys and girls....and a few so called adults
