Bar & Grills on the lake?

#798657 - 06/29/09 03:29 PM

I'm looking for some suggestions for a place where I can dock the boat and grab a burger before corking at night. Any tips?

What side of the lake? If you are on the eastside I've done this at Hunters.

Blue Goose in Garrison. Just get out of there before the dancing girls get there.

I vote for Hunters also.....good pizza and burgers, they have a bartender there named Scott that pours a mean drink too.

Liberty is open once more on the East side. Brian Berle of Whitecap Splash Guards and I stopped in there Thursday for $1.50 tacos and were QUITE impressed!

Both Fishermens Wharf and the MSA club (Old Flagship Inn) have docks, decent food and bars. Buzzies in Macs Twin bay have docks and good food.

Keep the hot spots coming. Just so I have my options open.

I heard of a burger joint on the South side of the lake. Probably not on the lake, but forgot what it was called any help???

Shoot! The name escapes me! It's just around the corner from Mille Lacs Island Resort and it's the next bay west of Wahkon Bay...Bruce Bombard took us there last Fall. GREAT burgers! Someone will know it...

Bayview in Cove Bay is what you are thinking of Tuck.

Hard to beat Hunters on the east side.Good food and good drinks.Their home made pizza is really good. They will also cook up your fish for you for like $4 a person or $6 a person if you want fries with them.

Twin Pines on the West side also has good food.

Mean? He'll make 'em burn. Hes a pretty good fisherman too, so he'll help you out.

Oh yeah, the food is great there too. I had the rib special there last weekend. I was on the phone with my buddy the whole time I was eating and he couldn't understand how I could eat ribs with one hand. Pretty easy when the meat falls off the bone and you can cut it with a fork.
