country crappy dip

8-12 crappie fillets
garlic salt
jar of cocktail sauce
brick of cream cheese (room temp)
diced green onions(opt.)
In a sauce pan boil enough water to cover fillets
garlic salt to taste
boil fish 8-9 minutes
let fillets cool then crumble
In a mixing bowl add crm. cheese, cocktail sauce, crumbled crappies, & mix well
serve with crackers
enjoy!!!!

Sounds good! Have a simlar recipe that uses salad shrimp instead of crappie--mmm,mmm!

I should say you can use any panfish in this recipe. I've used bluegill & perch. Crappie just seems to taste the best to me.

We used to boil the crappie and sunnys and dip in drawn butter. This was "poos mans lobster" at out house.
Your recipe sounds good, I'll have to give that a try.
