Dogfish rawk... it takes as much skill to land in a 5# dogfish as it does about anything else that swims.

Great post and nice fish. Those things are amazing. I have had 4 sumo sheepies on this year. Its sad to say but I think Im starting to put some locations together for the larger ones. Mid to late summer the larger ones seem to school up deep on the tips of a few wingdams hear on pool 2. They get me every time because this is also where the walleyes are and a big sheepie hits just like a big walleye. A jig and a crawler or a black hair jig works great for them. No sheepie can resist the power of a black hair jig. 3 of my 4 large sheep head came on hair jigs this year.
It is also amazing how those things can tackle a crank bait. 5 or less of the 6 hooks on a crank bait stuck in the fish and he just wasnt serious about feeding that day. It is also amazing how well they can sew their mouths shut on a treble hook or swallow a entire crank with that small mouth. If walleyes hit that well we would never loose one.
Ill look back threw my photos of the summer and see what there is to add to this post.
Hate to say but there has been a few trips where these fish supply most of the entertainment for the day.
