A small group of us are heading to LOTW next week, we are heading out of Nestor Falls. I have never been up there before. The guys that have been up there before are pretty casual fisherman and fish with jigs and minnows mostly.
Any other methods I should try? Is the small mouth fishing good on that part of the lake?
I just got back from a lotw trip(couple weeks ago) We got hosed by the weather 4 out of the 5 days we were there,but the day we did get out,We had great luck with a red hook & a jumbo leech 6' snell lindy rig. we had a 10# walleye in the boat the first hour. Bring plenty of different size weights all the way up to 1 1/2 oz.keep it on the bottom, but out of the rocks.good luck let us know how you do. (good rain gear is a must up there & watch the weather.)
