was afforded a couple of hours of bank fishing last night on Pool 9. Some homemade dip bait a fellow coworker has been making for "many" years & two poles kept me on my toes for close to an hour & half leading up to sunset. Biggest channel was only 8.4lbs on the Berkley scale but lots of 3 to 4 lbers. Made for a time-flying evening and just felt good to actually get some fishing in for once. Been pretty scarce for me this summer.

I used to have a houseboat in Desoto Bay. There is a nice wood strewn hole just up river from the treatment plant there. I pulled a 35lb flattie out of there once. It can be fished from shore. There are some big ones in that hole as I've been broken off there a few times. Give it a whirl. They love hand sized blue gills.
