I was out with my two boys last thursday drowning some worms for a couple hours. The 5yr manged to land a couple small brown and my 10 yr old caught a big sucker. We were fishing a section of Whitewater.
I noticed a lot of trout feeding on the surface and the water was clear.
I returned that even with the fly rod. I had some luck but the action was not real fast. Most success was on a hare's ear. Tried some terrestrials but no takers. I can not remeber seeing a single riser in the even.

The pic of your little guy reminds me of my 3 boys fishing trout in the whitewater for many years.We still get there but they are a lot bigger now,I mean the boys of course.Were you on the main branch just off hwy 74? the pic kind of looks familiar.
