I am planning on taking a day of vacation to take my wife walleye & bass fishing on Green Lake in Spicer this Thursday. Anyone have any reports on how the fishing has been, or suggestions for baits?

I haven't been out there since the 4th, but my Dad said last weekend they saw alot of fish near the rock pile on the East side. He also caught a few in 22 feet on Middle Bar. Maybe one of these years I'll really have to give the bass fishing thing a shot.

Anyone in particular to talk to at Mel's? We were planning to do lunch there and launch just up the road from them anyway, so it should be convenient.

I am talking Mel's Sport Shop... you may be talking about Little Melvins...  Not sure who would know at Little Melvins, but whoever is working bait at Mel's, should be able to help. Mels is just a block North and East of Little Melvins Good luck
