Posession limit in WI is 2 limits. 5 fish per day, and you can have a total of 10, but you can't keep 10 in a day (only 5). You can keep your 5 every day, as long as you never have more than 10 in posession.
It is hard to eat 5 salmon a day though.

10 is what I was hoping for but it does not show 2 day possesion limit in the regs. Hard copy or online. It must be written somewhere??

Page 8 of 72 of the WI fishing regs
to possess more than the possession limit (twice the total daily bag limit) at any time, except from the Wisconsin-Michigan boundary waters (defined on p. 58) where only one total daily bag limit can be possessed. The possession limit for the Great Lakes and their tributaries having anadromous trout is twice the total daily bag limit.
