changed very much so since 3 weeks ago, three weeks ago we were having a lot of success on the lower part of 9 fishing rocks and wingdams on the channel and then my motor broke down and had to wait 3 weeks for a part on backorder and just got it back on sat. on sun we went back for more and completly struck out 3 bass in 5hrs has the pattern changed that much or could that cold front have effected things that much I should have known better than to think I had figured something out

I will assume that you read my posts on the frog bite. I probably fish the same areas you do if you fish on 9. It is not your imagination. Welcome to the club. lol

Chippee,

I can only speak of my own experiences of late, but I am able to catch fish in some of the same locations and/or types of locations as 3 weeks ago. The differences have been numbers and baits used. Switching from a 4" to a 3" woolly Hawg Tail made a huge difference. This was only made because I forgot to reload my plastics, but it turned out for the better. Things have not been fast and furious for my boat, but we still can manage to get some keepers.

Saturday morning we fished pool 7 from 6:30 - 9:00. It was cold and windy. But in that time frame we did a lot of hopping, hitting 3 different areas with the one on the main channel producing the best results. This was a spot that produced 4 consecutive fish on a number of occasions 1-2 months ago. Overall we only caught 8 keepers with the biggest one only going 17 7/8". But keep in mind we have probably about 45 minutes of travel time.

Keep pounding away!
