BULL-Ramy

#817225 - 09/04/09 10:04 PM

I was fishing my favorite lake in Bangkok last tuesday. Fishing was slow but I stayed long enough for a short evening bite.

You know the term Bull-Gills? Those are those awesome trophy Bluegills in the 9-11 inch range that have a little nob on their nose that makes them look kind of bad-a$$. Well I caught a pair of absolutely ginourmous Gouramy that reminded me of them. These things were packing knives with them when they fought me; very serious contenders. These are the biggest Gouramis I have ever seen.

Those look like a lot of FUN! What kind of tackle are you using to catch those?

Thanks for exposing us to another side of the world!

I'm using basic spinning gear with 12 lb. Mono which is about a perfect match for these guys.
