Wissota crappies remain hot!

#818938 - 09/13/09 11:26 PM

The weather shows no sign of changing, and neither does the late summer crappie action on Lake Wissota.

Here are a couple of the better specks I picked up today, at 13 (left) and 12" (right). I had a handful of 10-11" fish as well.

As soon as the FLW event is behind us, I'm going to spend a day targeting these big Wissota crappies. Some of these fish will weigh significantly more than the 13.75" walleyes we'll be weighing in the tournament!

If you need someone to ride along the day you target those crappies I'm willing.

Nice looking Crappies. I can almost taste them. Best of luck this week with the FLW.

I'll tell you exactly where and how....you just have to stay away from them until I get knocked out of the tournament.

Then again, if the timing of the baby's arrival stinks, I may get knocked out before the whistle blows on Thursday

In that case, you'll have a fun few days of picking off 12-13" crappies!
