While pre-fishing the Croix for the next FTF tourney this weekend I was able to slip the net under this 4.5lb Croix beauty. Not a huge fish but definately a nice Croix eye. If I had $1 for every sauger I caught under 15" I would probably made over $85 the last 3 days which is a good thing in a way, it's nice to see the Croix has a very healthy population of up and coming saugers. Last year the smallmouths were a nuisance this year small saugers are clogging up the lines. Most reports I got from other anglers is that the bite was slow to none for most with only a couple reporting measurable fish. Overall the weekend wasnt gangbusters but I am fairly satisfied with the results I had. Anyone know how the fishin on pool 3 has been?
