I made it out to the Rum River twice last week, once with my cousin Ben, once with my buddy Jakob and his son. First let me say it has been a ridiculous week (in a good way) as far as weather goes and I've made good use of it. Considering how mild our summer has been I'm glad it got extended a bit. On both trips out we didn't really find numbers but we got a few decent fish as far as the Rum goes. The one disappointment is we found decent numbers of smallmouth bass but have not been able to find many big fish. Some of the pictures are below. Two of the better fish were a 27" pike and a meaty 16" eye. Most fish came on #5 and #7 raps in a few different colors and a few fish came on spinners.
