Upper Mississippi River

#821093 - 09/23/09 01:35 AM

With all of the nice days we've had lately the nights have been equally as nice so we made a few trips to the Upper Mississippi River just north of the metro for some cattin'. We found fish in many different areas. We fished several areas with underwater wood ranging 4-5 fow. We also found fish in areas near heavy flow ranging 10-12 fow. The only thing we could get them going on was cut sucker. The biggest fish went 29" and was caught by Jake. My biggest went 25" x 16". We also had a couple 28"'s and many in the 20"-26" range. The channels are going great right now so I hope to get out a few more times before the bite slows.

Looks like a great night! I have been getting no bites after dark.
