Western WI this morning

#821309 - 09/23/09 07:36 PM

Worked a half day today. I fished from 6:30 - 9:30. Landed two browns and ~30 brook trout. I kept this 11.5" brookie and this 13" brown for eats.

Was hoping for another large brown but no such luck. Too many little brook trout smashing my worm the minute it hit the water.

Good morning minus the mosquitoes which were fierce today, apparently from yesterday's rain. Oh and while fumbling with this brown I stepped on my camera in the process. I got it working again however the preview screen has cracks in it

Thanks guys. For trout normally I don't post photos unless at least 15" but brookies are special. That and the season is coming to an end Sept 30. Talked with the landowner who said when they moved in ten years a go all they caught were planter rainbows and the occasional brown, never a brook trout. The stream has obviously improved!

Photos of the 12" brookie in watercolor filter.
