Myself and several friends are heading up to Leech Lake next weekend to spend 3 days fishing ( Mostly for Walleye and Perch )The guy who put the trip together and was going to act as the Guide had a medical situation come up that will keep him from going with. So I guess what I need is some help from all the guys here on where to start. It's been many years since I've fished Leech ( 10+ ) and that was mostly for Muskie. I have no idea of where to start and what to fish so any Info. would be extreamly helpful. If you prefer to send the Info. to my E-Mail that would be fine. I'm not looking for GPS Cord. ( althought I'd take them )but just a general area and depth to start looking. I guess last year they pounded the Perch and caught a few Eye's as well. Thanks in advance for any and all Info.

I will also be there the first weekend in october. It will be a multispecies trip. Walleyes, Muskie, Grouse, Atvs and a last but not least a keg. It will be an awesome time. DT

It just doesn't get any betteer than that. If you see a Black Triton bass boat with a Johnson 150 on it on the lake stop over and say Hi. I'm sure I will have a beer or 2 to share. We are thinking about throwing in the Shotguns as well. Have a great weekend.

Not sure what type of boat I will be in as mine is staying home and we will have a crew of around 15. I will keep an eye out.

I was up last weekend and did well on the perch in a few areas. One was the Walker flats (also bagged a few eyes here). Another was the narrows and I'll spell this wrong but it started with a K. I'll edit this once I remember the name. Go under bridge from Walker Bay into these narrows.
Also, just to the east of Walker narrows. Very easy fishing, split shot, plain hook, fathead. Or slip bobber plain hook (chartreuse best color) fathead. Out of every 10 perch, 2 were very nice sized.
Have fun!
