Salmon fishing trip....advice needed please.

Could someone help me with a little information? I am planning a two day trip to the Algoma, Kewanee, Two Rivers area and was wondering how the trout and salmon are hitting? What stamps do I need to fish inland waters and maybe the peirs of Lake Michigan? Also any advice on the hot spots to try so I can increase my odds of getting a fish or two? I did try fishing for them once after snagging was outlawed but had no luck so I gave it up. Tips on lures or baits to use would be great too. I was planning on being in the area on 10-4 and 10-5 so I only have a week to get prepared. Thanks for any help in advance.

Great Lakes Trout and Salmon will cover you from the Great Lakes to the first Dam on the tributary river.

Ends of the piers are a bet. Glow in the dark spoons such as Krocidiles, Cleos, Kast Masters. Silver, Silver-blue, and silver green are usually go to colors. I like chartruse crank baits also.

A few fish are entering the rivers now. Fly fishing is also an option

If you're planning on fishing the Kewaunee harbor be sure to call ahead to see if they are still dreging in the harbor. They were dredging last week and plans were for this continue for a couple more weeks. Not much happening while they are stirring things up.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on fishing by the footbridge in Algoma and maybe off the peirs along the lake somewhere. I haven't been in the area in years and was hoping someone could give a good tip on some spots to fish. I won't have much time to look for spots so if anyone has any tips, let me know please. Thanks and hope to hear from some of you soon.
