Even though I only managed one fish, it's hard to be disappointed. I think you'll understand why
Anyway, we hit our favorite spot about 10 AM on Wednesday. We were shallower than I wanted, but Patty started getting bites on her jig and worm instantly. We drug jigs around for about 40 minutes when a 19 3/4 walleye inhaled my bait.
After working the area for another hour without a hit, we decided to pull cranks over deeper water. Patty landed a real nice white bass on her #7 Flicker Shad. We trolled the area for another hour without success even though bait and hooks were everywhere.
Patty stayed busy the next 2 days with drum and a perch as trolling cranks just wasn't getting the job done. Then, on Friday, it happened - Patty jigged up a 26 1/2 pig, her best walleye ever. Unfortunately, the camera battery was dead and she forgot to save the pic on her cell phone. Needless to say, she was not overjoyed at having no record of that big girl.
Saturday morning was slow, but the late afternoon yielded this 26 inch beauty on another jig:

Sounds like the fall frenzy may be getting started up there. Great job on landing some quality fish.
What was the water temp??

Thanks, Ben!
The water temp hovered in the low 60's, except for Saturday when it reached 66+.

Good stuff -- A lot better than we did a couple weeks ago up there!

Nice report, thanks. This might speed up my recovery from the surgery. I love fishing Sherman in October. The Crestliner should be on the water soon. Got to go fishing if the wife is going to New York for a few plays. Staying at the cabin is much cheaper than cab fare in the "Big Apple."

I hope you get better soon, Jorg! Maybe I might have to give that lake another try next month.
